At about 4:30 yesterday afternoon, Sweet Home Fire crews were dispatched to a report of a single-vehicle rollover near Highway 20 and Brushwood Road.  2 ambulances, 2 brush rigs, and a Rescue carrying 11 rescuers responded to the scene with OSP and ODOT.  Crews located the vehicle which had left the roadway and rolled multiple times, coming to rest in a culvert over 60 yards away, and across the railroad tracks.  The railroad was contacted and immediately shut down that section of the tracks for any rail traffic.  The single occupant of the vehicle sustained serious injuries and had become entrapped.  Fire crews utilized hydraulic extrication tools to remove the roof of the vehicle to gain access to, and extricate the patient.  The patient was then entered into the State's trauma system and transported emergently by ground ambulance to Good Samaritan Hospital in Corvallis.
