On 11/23/16 at 1743 the Fire District responded to a structure fire at 1430 Westwood Lane. Crews arrived to find flames coming from a front window of the home. 1 occupant had evacuated and called 911. Crews were able to extinguish the fire within 30 minutes. 3 Engines, 2 Medic Units, a Heavy Rescue, and Command Vehicle responded with a total of 18 firefighters. There were no injures sustained and an initial estimate of $50,000 dollars of damage to the structure and contents. The Fire Investigators determined the cause of the fire to be accidental.
